Coastal Intel was built on a simple observation. The people making the biggest financial decisions of their lives are routinely the least informed people in the room. We are here to change that.
Where this started
The planning portals, flood maps, council overlays and environmental data that Coastal Intel draws on have always existed. Professionals have always known where to find them. Experienced buyer advocates, town planners, building certifiers and conveyancers have been navigating these sources for decades.
The problem was never that the information didn't exist. It was that it was scattered across dozens of government portals, written in technical language and never designed for a regular buyer to find, interpret or act on.
Most buyers didn't even know these resources were available. And even those who did rarely had the background to know what they were looking at.
Coastal Intel was built to change that, taking the same data that informed professionals draw on and presenting it clearly, simply and in one place, so anyone making a significant property decision can access the same intelligence that was previously only available to those who knew where to look.
The problem we solve
Nobody buys a used car and takes the seller's word for it. The roadworthy certificate exists because there is an obvious conflict of interest. The seller wants the best price. The buyer needs to know what they are actually getting.

Our philosophy
These are not marketing principles. They are the constraints we design every product decision around. If something we build does not meet all five of these, we do not ship it.
What we are not
One of the most important things about Coastal Intel is what it is not. The property industry is full of platforms that present themselves as neutral while quietly being funded by the transaction they are supposed to be independent of.
We are not one of those. Our revenue comes from users who pay for intelligence. Not from agents, developers, lenders or anyone with a stake in the outcome of a property decision.
That independence is not a feature. It is the whole point.
